The Firefly Cluster consists of 1,151 nodes, 280 of which run two AMD Quad core processors, the other 871 nodes run two dual core Opteron processors. It is being used by campus researchers as well as grid researchers for general projects. When it was first assembled in late 2007, it ranked 43rd on the top 500 super computer list. |
