1. Keep my primary group as it is and add the new group as a supplementary group
2. Make the new group my primary group and change my existing primary group to a supplemental group
3. Make the new group my primary group and do not keep my existing primary group.
If you choose option (1), your home directory remains the same and new empty HOME/WORK/COMMON folders will be created in your supplemental group to use.
If you choose option (2), then your current primary group will become a supplemental group and new HOME/WORK/COMMON folders will be created for you in the new primary group. Existing data/files in the old primary group will not be relocated.
If you choose option (3), your existing HOME/WORK/COMMON folders will be moved to your new primary group.
